Intellectualization, cattle health, improved breeding, and raw milk quality have been well guaranteed and improved.

However, difficulties and bottlenecks that plague the development of Shandong's dairy industry, such as insufficient supply of improved dairy breeds, low roughage utilization, and high breeding costs, still exist. Especially under the current situation where milk prices continue to decline, and ranches suffer serious losses, the market environment has greatly impacted the development of Shandong's dairy industry. Dairy farming is the foundation for revitalizing the dairy industry and the key to high-quality development of the dairy industry. At present, improving quality, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency are the core themes of the development of the dairy industry and are the key to accelerating the formation of "new quality productivity in the dairy industry." In this context, how to promote and creatively develop new productivity in Shandong's dairy industry is also a hot topic discussed by all representatives of this conference. Wang Chengwu, president of the Shandong Dairy Association, pointed out at the conference that reducing costs and increasing efficiency must solve the roughage bottleneck in the development of Shandong's dairy industry. The 2024 version of the Shandong Province Dairy Industry Map shows an overview of the development of Shandong's dairy industry, marking the main prefecture-level cities and base counties for milk production, representative large-scale pastures and dairy enterprises, and announced the 2023 Shandong region's 29 high-yield pastures and dairy enterprises.
